is a non-profit trade association whose 2,700
member companies conduct business in the motor
vehicle aftermarket industry. AAIA is a new
association which resulted from the consolidation
between the Automotive Parts & Accessories
Association (APAA) and the Automotive Service
Industry Association (ASIA).

Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is
the international trade and business development
resource for companies that manufacture equipment,
products and services used worldwide in the
construction, agricultural, industrial, mining,
forestry, materials-handling and utility
industries. AEM was formed on January 1, 2002 from
the consolidation of CIMA and EMI. This new trade
association will build upon the past strengths of
its predecessor associations to provide expanded
services and even more business efficiencies.

Automotive Industry Action Group is a globally
recognized organization founded in 1982 by a group
of visionary managers from DaimlerChrysler, Ford
Motor Company, and General Motors. The purpose: To

focus is to continuously improve business
processes and practices involving trading partners

The Technology Maintenance Council (TMC)
is a forum for exchanging information where
members come together and exchange information
among themselves and with other elements of the
industry. These elements include equipment and
maintenance specialists, vehicle designers,
manufacturers, and various related federal
agencies. The goal of TMC is to improve trucking
equipment and maintenance.
